So what could possibly come next?

Nokia announces merger with itself, can't agree on terms and embarks on a terminally suicidal self-litigation circle before finally exploding in a great damp puff not unlike a flea's fart...?

On the other hand if the past results of (d')Alliançés with Microsoft have any bearing on the "partner's" future prospects, Nokia might not even be able to afford to sue itself by the end of this (d')Alliançé.

Nokia's agreement assures that not only will they have a piece of the SP pie, but their devices will integrate better and at a cost savings that RIM can't match.

Add Maemo devices on top of that and you have the means for enterprises to accept, culture, and develop open source software, VoIP services, and pretty much become what Nortel dreamt of decades ago.
Thanks...

Your post(s) brought me up to speed quickly when I returned home tonight.

Seems it's for Symbian, not so much Maemo.
