No. Maemo5 on N8x0 is just a nice sideeffect of what we're doing. Mer is 'MaEmo Reconstructed' and we try to provide a fresh view on the Maemo platform. As I've said before, a pure backport project would die out as more people upgraded their HW.
I expect to see Mer on RX-51 too.

Even though rx-51 doesn't have menu button/esc, it is still supported in the libraries.

In the fremantle libraries or Mer libraries (or both)?
And how about the zoom/fullscreen HW buttons? I sense that the new Maemo 5 UI is moving away from these elements (maybe I'm wrong). Will Mer continue to support them?

will it be a helping source for Mer Developers
