I'd love to be able to say "made entirely on an N900", but I'll need to have one first. Someone whip up a port of Audacity?

I'll see what I can do on the N810 I do have though.
I would concentrate FIRST on making a good podcast.. THEN on the novelty of podcasting off the tablet. First and foremost, you want the show to be listen-worthy. I'm not sure that I would want to use the N8x0's recording as a basis for a podcast, but it's not to say it couldn't be done. It's just that you'll probably end up with far less quality and have a much narrower breadth of sound than you would if you used a good sound card with a proper microphone.

yeah, the sound should be very bad with N8x0's micro. Although it should be able to run Audacity in chroot. Perhaps just install it in easydebian - and then get sound working.

This is my podcast's blog. We use the Talkshoe widgets to serve up the podcasts but we do it entirely in Talkshoe and then just update the blog for the episode and then people comment on a per-episode basis.
looks nice. Is it customizable? (embedding episodes via flashplayer, embedding pics) - But isn't it a bit dangerouse to add a comment function? We may get trouble if someone writes nonesence and we don't remove it.

remember to add some good sound effects - perhaps with cc-licensed clips.
! But you'll probably have to list the licenses and sources of cc-licensed files, if you use them. And attention to share-alike-licenses!!!!

I enjoyed reading these:
It'll be great to have a podcast version.

Well look, I'm on a budget... meaning $0, so I don't exactly have that kind of equipment laying around. Starting to think everyone's expecting a TWIT level of quality here right off the bat and everyone's going to be disappointed as hell if it's not.

That's why this first one is a short test.

I couldn't get around to recording it last night. I expect the short 5 minute episode to be done tonight and probably posted tomorrow morning. We'll see where it goes from there.

Hah.. I get to be the guy that everyone points and laughs at when I pronounce something funny.

May-mo? My-mo?
Freee-mantle?

just another stupid idea: When I looked at my webpage today, I rememberd that I once created a show with an online TTS-engine - English TTS nowadays should be very good - and with a bit of background music it may sound like a real human... maybe use it for short news episodes to save lots of time.
