At the request of ... well ... no one, I volunteered to destroy my warranty so the rest of you could discover - well - that it's quite boring inside!

I was going to try to wait 'til Monday night to post this to get on Tuesday's blogrolls, but then I reminded myself that I blog for fun and not for hits.

Good good good.. having dissected one of my T3's a few times (for battery transplantation) the N800 looks like it's designed very well, in the sense that it should be possible to repair the thing quite easily (e.g. there could be future screen replacement kits, like those you can buy for some PDAs).

Nice work Dan - though what amazed me was you seem to find removing the 'internal' memory card the hardest . Mine pops out if you push it in.

The sticker on mine snagged and peeled back a little That's what the difficulty was.

Oh by the way - I've run a neodymium magnet around the surface of my N800 and the only thing that ever tripped was the webcam applet. I don't know why.

Thanks a lot!! Now I seriously consider to color my N800 to have (say) a black front instead of the silver front. That would make the device much more elegant ...
