What would it take to port Maemo 4 or 5 to run on the Chumby?

I haven't read all 10 pages of comments in that thread, but what they seem to be doing is porting chumby widgets to Maemo, I'm asking if the reverse can be done, run Maemo 4/5 on Chumby?

Mer would probably be a more logical OS to port, though I can't imagine it (or Maemo) will work well on the Chumby's 320x240 screen. By the time you'd reworked Mer enough to fit in a display with that low a resolution, you'd have something else entirely anyway. And then you'd need to rewrite all the applications you want to run...

Didn't realize it was a low res screen. Probably the low memory would be an issue also. Oh well.
