I'm thinking of buying an n810 on eBay. Are there any fake n810 out there? I remember reading an old engadget article on fake Nokias on eBay a while back. I think it was for N95 though.

No I don't think there are any fake N810s out there.

nope never saw one, I only saw until now n95's, very accurate n95 8 Gb fakes (I only noticed that someone had one when the computer reported 250 Mb on the drive that was supposed to be 8 Gb) and e71 fakes.

While some fakes are (relatively) easy to tell apart, a Nokia employee once told me that some fakes even fool Nokia itself.

I bought my N810 on ebay with no probs. Was in excellent condition and lots of extras.
And I actually became friends with the seller.
I am currently shopping for a second one on ebay.
