its interesting how the next couple of non-US ones are car brands (mostly, i know the japanese companies dabble in just about anything domestically), a fashion brand, and then comes the second non-US tech brand, samsung...

Just in case anyone doesn't realise, this study is ranking the brands according to how much the brand is expected to earn for the company in the future. Not on consumer loyalty or anything like that.

Details of the methodology here.

I'm no marketing expert, but I would assume that consumer loyalty is one the most important factors on how brands bring money to corporations.
