Or, just make it so the whole thing is blank and/or selected (this'd get it closer to being my perfect note-taking software: EPOC R5's Jotter :-))

Well, at the moment only the "Describe your new note here" part is selected. The idea is that sometimes (maybe often) you don't want to think about the title of a note. You just want to write something down. If that's the case a title with something like "New note 87" is just fine.
Other opinions of course also welcome

How about taking the first line of text (or a truncated version) as the new note name, if one isn't otherwise specified by the user?

Hello,
I tried to test the syncing to snowy (git) with the conboy version in extras-testing (0.6.2)
Syncing snowy between my desktop tomboy client and my snowy server works
But I get the following error when trying to authorize conboy on my snowy server: 'Settings' object has no attribute 'OAUTH_CALLBACK_VIEW'
The complete error is here : http://staz.be/tup/2009-12/authenticate.html
Has anyone encountered this error and know what provoke it?
Thanks in advance,
Staz.

The xterm uses the same icons as the browser does, but it is not part of any spec. So adding a new selection icon doesn't seem like such a bad idea (maybe it could become part of the SDK at some point). Note that I am not 100% sure that a similar icon doesn't already exist.
