Doesn't the camera application start when you open the lens cover (the above was my initial flashlight thought as well but couldn't think of how it would coexist naturally with the camera app)?

Also I want a translate widget. Let me choose my from and to languages, my translation engine (translate.google.com or babelfish or something else), and let me enter my phrase...
Yes, it works like the old Maemo search widget. There are only a few differences:

1) Entry fields are not possible on the Fremantle Desktop, so instead of tapping in the field you have to tap a button first to open a dialog.
2) There is no limit in the amount of sites to search. On the old applet, anything over 9 starting creating problems, but with TouchSearch, it is relatively unlimited.

Just a warning, BrentDC:

You can put web page bookmarks on your desktop, too. So it is fairly straightforward to put bookmarks to your favorite search engines / reference pages on the desktop, and then just press the bookmark to get the search page. So you need to make something about your widget that is more compelling or convenient than that.

Im wondering if activating the camera by sliding the cover can be turned off? I can see it sliding open/closed when taking in out of a holster case.

how about a dining out widget. your out and u need to make reservation no need to waite in line to talk to the hostess. simply make your reservation via the widget. input how many are with your party and order your drinks. what time you will be there. the screen vibrates and flashes a certain color to inform you your table is ready.
