Dude, just had a look over at your project's page.

I can't believe how many builds you've made for this!

You released your first version way back in the year 1970?

I'm surprised that you're not sick to death of DialCentral by now.

Around 1.0.0 I had this project almost in maintenance mode but then there became an explosion of (very good) suggestions. Right now I'm trying to get the quality up to not detract from the beauty of Maemo 5. I really see telepathy-theonering as the way to provide some of the UI stuff people are wanting.

Maybe if I get these two projects into maintenance mode I can work on other really cool stuff

Hey Epage,
I love the new changes. It looks like you took some of my thoughts in mind. I'm unable to double click to select anything. In order to click anything I have to touch it once then use the D-Pad middle button to select it. Once I do I noticed you included the reply window! I also see the tele number at the bottom being selectable but does not have the other numbers in there quite yet. I haven't tested it much but I do like the changes you made! Keep it up my friend.

** I've gone back to using the GV-notifier for the included sound option. I noticed you mentioned bugs/issues as the reason you have not incorporated the code into DC. I have yet to notice anything wrong with it and was wondering what you were referring to.

As of the last package I made, that selection button is only useful from the contacts tab. In SVN I've added support for it for the Recent and Messages tabs. A bit more work is needed on it though.

In the gv_notifier thread people had mentioned issues with system sound or something. Its also one more feature I would not use which would make it more onerous for testing. I would love it if someone would pick up development of gv_notifier, preferably by getting the sound notification working through the back door I provide in the settings file.

I accidently started DialCentral when my internet connection was apparently down.

At first it gave me an error saying that it couldn't authenticate.

Tried a minute later and it logged me in but without a Callback number.

It wont let me select my Callback number anymore from the selection of numbers.

If I type in my number manually, my only choice is to hit Cancel.

I'm back to being out of luck again.

Edit:
Nevermind. I guess you tap the Callback number to which the Tablet invisibly selects it because nothing happens onscreen. To confirm it's center D-Pad. Strange programming you got there.

Why is the slection d pad the only option of selecting contacts/numbers in the contact list? I hope that is a bug.

I previously posted an explanation on this. I'm guessing from the three comments of confusion I've gotten so far that I should revert this?

As I previously explained with Messages and Recent, I disabled selection and you just double click on an item. As I said above, I wonder if this should go

As for manually entering in a number, for a keyboard its fairly natural to then just press Enter (which would also be center D-Pad. I guess I should contemplate having this UI design go also

My vote is to return to giving the uaer the option to do selections via touch screen, thanks for asking.

Yeah, the whole double clicking feature isn't doing it for me.

Like it's not even working kind of thing. *lol*

Double clicking my Callback number at various speeds does nothing.

Tried numerous times double clicking messages but the only thing it does is scroll the screen a little.

The whole no highlighting, double clicking nothing happening, center D-Pad weirdness is a strange direction that this project is headed towards.

At least it's still functional.

For me, I would like to see:

Full window when sending SMS. The way it is right now it keeps expanding after every letter when you get to a certain point.

Number of remaining letters that can be used is hidden under the hildon keyboard. Can this be placed on top of the screen instead?

I don't care for ever using the D-pad. Not sure if it's my tablet but it's not a very soft and relaxing button to use.

Don't care for collapsed hidden messages. When it loads messages is it possible to just autoscroll to the end?

Maybe in the Accounts options you could have a shortcut key that sends you directly to Google Voice by web browser so one could delete old messages this way. Not that big on this idea though.

Just glad you're still with us and are cool about receiving feedback from us.
