Collaboration instead of deathmatch?

Not as fun to watch, but probably better in the long run...

Does N900 recognice fingerpress from stylus? ie. if the pressed area is big, it is finger. If small then it's stylus.

It would be nice (and very intuitive) to pan with your finger and draw with your stylus/fingernail. I think nobody wouldn't try to draw with finger anyway, because the finger covers whatever you are drawing.

Does the screen of N900 support pressure recognition? Light press for light shades and hard press for darker shades with the pencil tool. And slightly smaller/larger pen size with the marker tool.

I am not sure, it seems it does not (Diablo used to return meaningful values between 0-0.5 for finger and between 0.5 and 1.0 for stylus [or the other way around]), but now the same reading of GDK_PRESSURE_AXIS returns strange values between 0.06 and 0.12something no matter how you touch it.

But, according to a <not so scientific> test, there should be a way to detect that...

Need to ask.

Has somebody mentioned the use of the proximity sensor as a toggle for draw vs. scroll? It's used in Quake 3 as a fire button, and would be useful with xournal for quick scrolling!

Xournal has been promoted to testing.

http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...-1fremantle12/

The icon set is still the same, was too lazy to change it to a default one.

This version is a Light version, just to have it in the hands of final users and have people actually use it.

I am in the process of a re-design of the UI, I'll post some ideas and a roadmap of when I plan to implement these changes.

But I expect the "real" Xournal for Maemo 5 to be ready before the holidays.
