An empty vote is still a vote, in my mind.

I downloaded OpenSTV and ran the ballots (for some reason, the election title is on two lines in that file; this needs to be fixed before the ballot file works in OpenSTV)....

And as holder of the Sacred Secret Magic maemo.org Council Hat, I can say that .... It's going to be a very interesting term.
Indeed, I don't know where that newline came from. I had the same issue.

The options to use for the election, by the way, are "Fractional STV, fixed threshold, Droop method for transfers".

Cheers,
Dave.

If anyone wants to see the community council intro at the summit

3 minutes and 10 seconds in, to 3 minutes and 15 seconds, longest 4 seconds of Qole's life....

At least he knew how to keep it short. I have got to learn when to shut up... sheesh.

I voted, but I think that the low turnout confirms that a steadily decreasing choir is being preached to. I'm sure there will be new N900 enthusiasts, but overall, things on this site are slowly ebbing.

On the bright side, I'm finding better ways to use my N800 and N810; they are more useful than ever.

This site is the be-all and end-all of things Maemo?

You did fine, I envy you. Not much of a public speaker myself, I am sure I could have beaten Qole's 4 seconds without a problem.

could you define 'things' and 'site'? For the latter, do you mean Talk or the whole .org?

On the bright side. That is an English expression.

It was weird. My brain just kinda froze up. Interesting how everyone has comments about my 3 minutes of blah-whatever during the community council intro on Saturday, but nobody has much to say about the 45 minutes I was up on stage with Ari on Friday.
