Well either they're there in the SDK menu where all apps are or they're not. If they're not, follow my guide in previous post. You just need to know the binary name. Well usually, that is same as package name. E.g. bash is located in /usr/bin/bash

ok i see the apps ive downloaded (rootsh & TouchSearch) when i click on the un-install button. BUT when i click on the 6 little squres up in the corner i dont see the apps, there not on behind the "More" option either.

tried >Display=:2 rootsh inside scratchbox and i get the normal print out but no change in the SDK UI.

hi

rootsh is a command-line tool to get root access on the device, so you won't fin an icon anywhere, and touchsearch seems not to appear at all. Other applications you should find under "More".

How did you even find this from the main page? Am I the only one who has trouble actually finding items when I actually need it. The Community and Development sections are not very intuitive.

edit:
So of course after i type this I was able to find it from the main page lol. I still think the Development pages are a little confusing though.

Also those instructions need to be updated. They do not specify that you have to click "Show All Packages". I know it's self explanatory however when you bring up the menu you wont see the option unless you scroll down a few ticks as shown below. If your new to Maemo ( like i am) you may not even be aware that there are more options if you scroll. The UI doesn't do a good job of telling the user that the current pane is scrollable/pannable. Some sort of down arrow indicator should be used ideally.

There's a little scrollbar that appears momentarily, but I agree it's easy to overlook. Maybe all dialogues should be designed so that on the initial view the user can see the top half of a button at the bottom, which would be an indication that there is more that can be scrolled to.
