and another shortcut:

CTRL + Backspace: Put current application in background and switch to the task switcher overview.

This even works when playing bounce. And the ball runs further...

Just a note. Most, if not all, of the "hacker" symbols can be found on the N900 by pressing the Fn+Ctrl keys. This pops up a character palate with lots of extra characters, including < > [ ] { } |
The one weird thing about that is that you have to press space after any of the characters on the third row (which includes ` and ~) to get them to show. Turns out they are "composed" characters.

Does anyone with an N900 know how to modify the keys using the rx-51 xkb file? It seems to completely ignore my changes!

Can anyone with an n900 say whether the keyboard can select text, e.g., Control-Shift right arrow? i did not see it mentioned in the manual.

i guess Control-Shift + anything would be tough to press

Yes, in some(TM) apps. For example Email editor.

No, as Control and Shift are directly next to each other.

Anyone figured out what Ctrl+Shift+n (KEY_ACTION_TOGGLE_NON_COMP_MODE) is for? All it seems to do here is make the display black (use Ctrl+Backspace to recover).

Except for that ALT key inbetween... pressing the combination for xterm without dropping the device is an acquired skill ;-)

Selecting text is Shift+arrow isn't it, not Ctrl+Shift+arrow?

Does anyone know what key is the blue arrow (Fn) in scratchbox? I wanted to press Ctrl+Fn in scratchbox to see the mentioned character palate.
