No, there is aimbot. Off-screen clicking is firing using the proximity sensor.

Ah, got it! Quite an interesting use of that feature. A poor-mans multi-touch!

This would be useful for toggling clicks between two states (ie. scrolling/panning vs manipulation).

Thanks for the vid! I look forward to more!

I noticed the same two problems with single player Quake 3 that mikkov noticed with single-player OpenArena.

- Engaging bots in a fight caused the game to slow to almost a slideshow
- Screen blanking still occurs if you don't use the touchscreen

Also, I don't like the look-via-touchscreen method, my finger is always in the way.

But otherwise it seems really good. The most impressive demo for the device so far (even better than Bounce )

One reason I laugh at these devices with games, without keyboard, with input method finger touchscreen, ouput method same touchscreen.

However the impact of using a stylus in this case might be less than using finger. Have you tried with stylus?

One feature I could implement is offset aiming. You would use your finger on the left/right of the screen so that it's not obscuring your center view, but still aim as if you were in the center... This, along with less agressive auto-aim might be quite nice...

I've been thinking. The touch screen does not need to handle horizontal looking. You can turn your whole body by tilting instead. Just implement up-down looking using the touch screen, and make it so you can use your finger anywhere to do it (eg, the far left or right of the screen).

Ahh, probably too ambitious. I will be happy with a PSX emu so I can play Raiden 2

And MAME, and Turbografx and AMIGA.......
Raiden 2 and Air busters FTW!

Hi guys,
I saw Quake III running nicely on N900 during the Maemo summit..
Unfortunately I'm not a big fun of Quake III arena, but I really love Tremulous.

Is someone trying to port it to N900? It's make use of Quake III engine but it's a free
opensource game.

For more information about it check http://tremulous.net/
Packages (bin + data) are part of K/Ubuntu

gnuton@iron:~$ apt-cache search tremulous
tremulous - Aliens vs Humans, team based FPS game with elements of an RTS
tremulous-data - Tremulous datas
tremulous-doc - Tremulous documentation
tremulous-server - Tremulous server

This is a nice idea. I think I'll spend some time tonight and implement it, if I'm not working too late. Should be simple to do, though. Thanks.
