Im ashamed to admit I went out and purchased the Archos android tablet ... Pure Garbage. figured it would hold me over till the N900....

Unfortunately Archos makes crappy devices. They have so much potential but the software lets them down every time.

damn. i hope i can make a thread by the end of this week, called: My N900 shipped today

I originally pre-ordered my phone with nokiausa.com but had to cancel it cuz i heard they usually ship the phone after the other retailers. so i went and bought the phone from buy.com. i ordered it beginning of october. the past 6 days, i called them every single day just to make sure that they will ship it soon. i had talked to 5 different reps and they told me that it will be released on october 22. so of course just to make sure that they give me the same date, i called them everyday. But today when I called them the rep told me that the release date was pushed to November 22! i was shocked and couldn't believe it. So I waited for 3 hours and called them back to make sure she was giving me the right info. Unfortunately they both said November 22. Since I want to get the phone right away, I went back to Nokiausa and ask them if I order today will I get the phone at the end of October as stated on their website. here's the conversation i had with them.

It is hard to establish to keep with AMAZON or go directly to Nokia..
