Windows file sharing, ftp server on PC/ftp client on tablet, add bluetooth to your laptop, plug the tablet in via USB. Lots of options.

You can thank bunanson for kindly laying this out. (OK, you can thank me, too, for telling you about it )

Isn't the easiest way to do this is to share your folder in your OS and then use the network sharing icon in the file manager to navigate to the shared desktop folder? e.g., samba/ network neighborhood

This is THE way I use to obtain hard copy of my file when travelling, most hotels allow one to print out email messages for free.

@hordeman: "shared folder" is the easiest, but very UNreliable.

Can you elaborate? I usually transfer files with a USB cable locally and when traveling, I SCP files remotely. However, when I used network neighborhood, the worst I experienced was just slow transfer rates.

The "shared folders" cannot be found without rebooting, either your tablet, or winPC, or the router, or kneel down and say a prayer . If you have NOT experienced "shared folders" not found, you have NOT txf files frequent enough
