i haven't noticed any hang ups. browsing looks great, most pictures look amazing and video is decent. i really don't even notice that it's only 16bit

No. I've owned both the 770 and the N800 since release and never knew they were 16bit until I read a review a couple weeks ago.

OK thanks guys my mind is now at rest, cheers
I am however concerned that the screen with a great res of 800x480 only has 16bit colour??? Can somebody tell me if this is a problem watching vids or showing photos, web browsing etc as it does seem rather poor.
