According to the developer:

"Another visible change is that gpesyncd and gpesummary are no longer installable applications. They are now automatically installed if any of GPE Calendar, GPE Contacts or GPE Todo are installed (although using them is still optional, of course)."

Seems to be incorrect. I have GPE Todo installed (as of a couple days ago) and GPE Summary isn't anywhere to be found. Of course, GPE Calendar refuses to install, so maybe that's related.

I'm pretty cheesed off about this too. All I want is a calendar and todo list that I can show on the home screen. It doesn't even have to sync with anything. Is this really so hard?

I had the same 'need' as you and I'm using;
* Seqretary for a calendar (have a nice home screen applet),
* mTasks for a to-do app and hometasks displays it well on the homescreen

When it comes to GPE I just installed GPE ToDo and when I went to Home-Select Applets the GPE Summary applet was there to be selected.
Now....I didn't like the lack in customizing the applets look so I am, for now, continuing to use mTasks and Hometasks.

i just put my todo list into my seqretary calendar days. it's viewable in the applet and that works really well for me.

I wish some generous coder would develop a simple Diablo program that could be resident on the NITs and sync with one of these. Just a very plain (but syncable) list would be useful.

If I could get an OmniFocus app that syncs with my mac, I would be very, very happy!

Outlook 2007.

Especially when combined with S60 smartphones.
