Instead of trying to figure out the problem, I was having memory issues so I decided to reflash. Carman installed with no problems after that.

Digging this one out from the past, but i digress...

I noticed that in version 0.7, i cannot reset any trouble codes. why did this functionality disappear? Is it possible by any means or do i have to sell my Elmscan 5, and buy a code reader from pep boys or auto zone?

Sorry to bring an old thread alive again..

I was attempting to update Canola, ran the cleanup and it removed Carman at the same time. Reinstalled and now I'm getting the "No plugins found" error. Tried some stuff and this thread and no luck getting it working.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I had this issue of 'No Plugins Found'. After some tinkering around, when I launched the app from CLI (carman-evas --log-level=debug), I was getting errors that it couldn't open the libraries libevas.so.0 and libeina.so.0

So as root, I went to /usr/lib/ and ran the following:

ln -s libevas-ver-svn-03.so.0 libevas.so.0
ln -s libeina-ver-svn-03.so.0 libeina.so.0

Launched again and it worked a charm. Installed from repo on my n810.

Actually I found that out and got it working, forgot to post back. Thanks.

However I have another issue, GPS won't shut off. Every time I enable it through Carman, even after I quit both Carman and the service, the GPS will stay on and the tray icon will still be there. Even after I go into the GPS panel, shut off GPS, it seems to stay there and it's draining my battery.

I haven't yet bought the ODB2 bluetooth adaptor and Carman reorts "no plugins found". I don't want to buy the adaptor and find that I'm stuck with this problem. Could somebody here confirm whether you get "no plugins found" because I don't have the bluetooth adaptor connected.

I get this when running from the terminal:

PS log file(/home/user/gps_data.log) not available: No such file or directory(2)
Can't init GPS simulator
process 1468: arguments to dbus_bus_register() were incorrect,
assertion "connection != NULL" failed in file dbus-bus.c line 617.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.
ERROR [13:33:52.399627] main.c:0180 - Could not setup a d-bus
private connection: Failed to connect to socket
/var/run/carmand-dbus-path: No such file or directory
ERROR [13:33:52.402252] bt-serial.c:0228 - quit_bt_serial()

Thanks,

Still doesn't work.

Could you confirm whether you get this message ONLY when your bluetooth ODB2 adaptor is connected. I'm trying to confirm whether it's throwing the errors because it's not linking with an OBD2 port.

Thanks,
