Look in the Buy & Sell section of this site. There are better deals out there.

My understanding is that will adjust the price on your order (and mine) to the lowest price that was advertised between the date you ordered and the date it ships - which at this point, would be $559.99.

From the comments on the Amazon page it seems like if you call up they will change the price for you now. It's supposed to be changed automatically just before they ship it out, but I'm not sure I trust that.

I just sent an email last night to Amazon asking them to reduce the price in my order, and they changed the price. It's under help -> customer service, express customer service and send them an email.

Hello,

The discounts we offer vary from time to time. I see we currently offer a greater discount on " Nokia N900 Unlocked Cell Phone/Mobile Computer with 3.5-Inch Touch Screen, QWERTY, 5 MP Camera, Maemo Browser, 32 GB--U.S. Version with Full Warranty " than we did at the time you placed order #[ ].

Since this item hasn't shipped yet, I adjusted the price to reflect the current discounted price, $559.99. This is the price you'll be charged when the order ships.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

There is something very wrong with capitalism these days.
They call it free market but I can’t really think of a reason why we European have to pay the double of the price of things “made in Europe” than the Americans.
This is valid to anything from electronics, musical instruments and cars, etc.
$559.99 is 375 € and here in Portugal we have it for 599€
Wouldn’t be more logic if they would pay more for the transport. Why does the rest of the world needs to subsidise the American consume????
I have friend that goes to the states in December and I’ll ask him to bring me one, but it’s really a shame that I need to make this kind of scheme.

The cost of cheaper electronics is compensated through the health care system.

I think it's because most european countries have higher taxes on
everything. A lot of fees going on so by the time they pass it to
buyers, price go up significantly.

That's hardly what's happening. Goods cost less to sell in the US, with no VAT and no restrictions on discounting. There's also purchasing power parity to consider, which historically adds 10% or more to the price of similar goods in Europe. Nokia is not using you to subsidize US sales - that's just what it costs them to sell in the US.

OT: If it makes you feel better, the US subsidizes prescription drug and medical technology purchases for the rest of the world. The prices that US consumers and insurance companies pay is the bulk of what companies use to pay for drug and medtech R&D. The rest of the world negotiates lower rates through their national health care systems.

The conversion rate also has something to do with it, I believe.
