Sort of. But not developers in the sense of anyone in the Maemo community. In the MID, UMPC, Netbook world, you see what are termed "reference devices" or "reference designs". They are produced by companies like MOTO who are looking for companies who want to have MOTO develop a device based on the reference design, slap the company's logo on it, and manufacture it. The company would then try to sell it as if it were their own.

Note that if you do have a few million dollars in your back pocket, MOTO would be glad to modify the reference design to address the shortcomings people are pointing out.

And if I handed you a million, your list would be?

Has anyone checked out what there development kit cost. It sounds like a beagle board with a screen so I'd guess $300

I got impatient, so I called (their San Francisco office), the nice lady who picked up the phone had no idea, what so ever, what I was talking about. I directed her to their webpage, and she said, ah...let me see if I can get some information and get back to you....I await her return call.

Well, at least they're quick on responses, the call back says...there is one device, a prototype, which one might procure for an "exorbitant fee" (her words not mine). Move along, nothing to see here.

*SWOON*

I'm in love with the 10" one. I want. Hope I don't really have to wait til 2011 for it, though.

The only things that would make me happier with it would be a PixelQi display, DVI-I instead of HDMI, and Maemo.

I can tell you what my ideal mid-range device would be. Just recently posted it on my blog. The MOTO AMP 10 seems to come pretty close to it...

And like already said what's up with that "Front – 8 Mpixe camera". Typo?
