Hey guys,

I've just updated my N900 to the latest software update but cannot get my MFE working. I basically follow all the steps as I would do it on a S60 device but it then shows an error message when it does its initial sync.

My company's IT department states that I shoud be able to choose the internet connection for MFE and that may be the problem.. I'm quite limited in terms of technical knowledge so I'm relying on you!

Any thoughts?

It says: "error in Communication with Exchange server"

can you post your mfe settings, and was it working b4 the update

I have no idea if it was working before the update as I've done the update straight after having got the device. I have input the settings as they were on my S60 5800 device and have checked with colleagues + IT that all credentials and connection settings were fine...

have you tried another nokia device with MFE to check whether its a setting on the exchange server or the device.

i've had something like this before on my E90, the problem was 1 specific email causing issues. i deleted emails 1 by 1 on outlook and than MFE started working again.

I mostly have problems with device lock not being set properly as my IT department insist on having it. I have also typed in the access point slightly wrong , took me ages to spot the missing dot.

Hi Mikec, this defo seems to be the problem. I have tested it on my other S60 device and it works as usual, then went to talk to my IT dept who informed me that these is lock thing. Can you take me through the steps you had to go through?

Also is everyone else's working alright on MFE on the N900? Is there any live widgets for email on the desktop (including POP3) and is Skype available yet?

Load loads loads of questions.....
