If we're talking about the serious Maemo competitor from Samsung, this isn't it. He was referring to the LiMo powered devices on Voda. Bada is a low to midrange smartphone OS, not a power user device OS.

Whoever Samsung hired for this marketing job needs a good re-education. When I opened the site all my brain registered was:

All about Bada - Bada for Business - Bada Developers - Bada Blog

Limo for the high end carrier phones, Bada for the low to midrange. And Android for the middle.

So LiMo vs. Maemo, Android vs. iPhone OS/Symbian, Bada vs. Symbian

[*]Samsung Bada is not OS, that's SDK for Touch Wiz II/III and creating apps/services for Samsung phones http://www.bada.com/about/

as much as I consider Eldar a mentor and role model, everything I've read so far disputes that point. Bada is supposedly an open OS for basic smartphones, according to various reports and the Bada website. It has been called an OS and a platform, not only an OS.

I'll have to talk with Eldar and see what he knows. Samsung runs the Russian market now, and he's privy to alot of info on them we're always late to get, so I'll see.
