I could not get it to work with the stylus but I found if I pressed and held my finger to a flash animation the flash menu pops up and I was able to select lower quality levels.
Does anyone know how to get the default quality level for flash?

In Firefox (Ubuntu) I can right click on a flash animation and select high, medium or low quality settings.
The N810 is using OS2008.
