Read my post (#560) in this thread about NokiaUSA sales department. They have their head stuck where the sun don't shine.

NokiaUSA is just outsourced fulfillment to BrightpointNA, a wireless distributor. You're right though, heads up their azzez.
I have an open order with both NokiaUSA and NewEgg. The problem with NokiaUSA is that they want to keep authorizing the card over and over every 10 days, whereas NewEgg only auth+capture when the unit ships.

Excellent news!
Not sure if Nokia UK is the same, we'll have to wait until Monday and see.
Hopefully they'll charge my card and I'll receive a nice shipment email from them

I see MPD are now giving a late November release:

http://www.nokiaretail.co.uk/Brands/...489/p26078.htm

does this mean that only new customers will get it late November or does this also apply to those who've already ordered with them? I'm hoping the former ;-)

This might be of potential interest for those with Amazon USA pre-orders. Having pre-ordered about two months ago, I emailed Amazon today to ask whether they had received any N900's yet and when I could expect my order to be fulfilled. I also voiced some displeasure about not having been given any information during the course of the wait, especially since the news broke about Nokia starting shipping. The bad news is they couldn't tell me anything new. The (sort of) good news is that they credited my account with a $10 voucher "for the inconvenience." Not exactly what I was hoping for, but it's $10 I didn't have before. Just thought others might want to give it a shot.

Somewhere in Europe first: 100% chance.

In the UK: Very likely.

In the US: Nokia isnt that big of a player in the US (my last Nokia phone was a 8290/7290) and most of the time the Nokias I do see now are the very low end ones. So why would we get it first?

Because the US is Nokia's single most contributing income country when it comes to sales i.e.phones, accessories, apps, etc.
