Shame it hasn't been implemented on the N900 - opportunity missed.
Mine does some of this.

If the screen is locked, opening the keyboard unlocks it; closing the keyboard *without using anything* locks it again.

If the screen is unlocked, opening the keyboard and closing the keyboard does not lock it.

My feeling is that I use the keyboard sporadically and locking using it would be a pain.

That looks like the pre-meeting at Chandos,
FWIW, I took that on my N900 in the hotel bar afterwards.

Who is the "they"? Those of us in the community who were there were speculating based on our experience and guesswork (and wishes, TBH); definitely not with any fore knowledge of Nokia stuff.

Looks like we all staring at Nina, I have a feeling she is talking about her boss and a night out at Karaoke, helped them come up with the Nokia offline as it happens ;-)

because maemo.nokia.com is saying the N900 is out now
Based on the number of downloads in Extras, I'd say while it might be 'out' from Nokia, it has yet to hit the actual shelves/users (anywhere, not just UK).

Thanks for clarification. I was making an overall comment on my impression of the community and what I got from the people present. It was more an extrapolation than an identifiable quote. I by no means was stating that this was a representation of Nokias strategy.

Please don't infect every single thread with "has your N900 shipped yet?"

Why is it that so many of the coolest Maemo people are in the UK?

Congrats convulted. I'm pleased to see the N900 went to a t.m.o. member that's been around since 2006.

I feel so lonely wayyy out here...
