The Droid's bigger screen is unfortunately hampered by its capacitive nature, unless you like muddling approximately through life, or in this case, its screens. I don't like things opening when I don't intend for them to, especially on phone processors which are underpowered relative to desktops.

Sure, you can use internet radio in preference to FM, but unless every one of your vehicles has Bluetooth, you can't transmit it to the radio.

Using the Droid since Friday, no sign of my N900 preorder to compare to. Screen is sweet and 3G coverage too. One thing Droid seems to do better is Youtube. HQ Youtube with zero lag and all the demos of the N900 show stutter for at least the first few seconds. How hard is it to make a precache for the N900? That must be the problem, since same chipset and similar screen res.

Yes, it is the one with the QWERTY. Same processor as the N900, 850x480 screen. Check it at your local Best Buy, or head over to Phonescoop.com or similar for the details.

Rushmore: are you running YouTube through the Droid's browser (Flash) or are you using a YouTube app?

Seems like such a minor detail, to me, the whole FM tuner, but still: I've never actually seen one of these FM transmitter things they sell for cars that actually WORKS. I've owned two, and both of them were always getting interference with stations, I had to change the station, still would get static or occasional radio channel chatter...so I just wonder: has somebody actually tested the N900's FM transmitter and seen that it can be used in a city? Sure, if you're driving through North Dakota (or anywhere in Finland except the south...), I'm sure it works fine. But what about in places where there's a new station every 0.20 Mhz? Just curious. It's of little use if you have to adjust the station every 10 minutes when driving.

Anyway, a aux-in input will be one of the biggest requirements for my next car. Bluetooth or FM, don't care, neither one beats a good old fashioned cable.

FM transmitter works fine in my car in my city. But, while the spectrum is crowded, and it takes some searching, there isn't a new station every 0.20 Mhz here.
