I'm having problems with the application installer when connected to my wifi with a squid proxy.
I've setup a squid user with a password to prevent unauthorized access to my network. This setup works well with opera which prompts me for the password.
But when I attempt to update/refresh the installable application list from Application Installer the log shows a 407 Authentication required error. Am I wrong in assuming that the app is not aware or is not capable of respoing to the challenge/response password request? Or is there a environment variable that could be set ( like HTTP_PROXY??) that would tell it the user/password to supply to squid?
The RSS reader also has problems when behind this squid setup and I assume it's the same problem.
