Not to be rude, but I think if you don't know already then stay well clear!
Basically they are where new apps that are being tested/under development are uploaded, so heed the warnings that are posted because you will probably do more harm than good by using these repos.....

LOL well yeah, but this site is going to get full of "How the hell do I fix this now" threads if everyone starts testing from devel
But point well made, I'm pretty new to linux/maemo (decent windows user instead), but after about a month or so of reading about the subject on here and having a play with a new linux OS I've installed I think I could start to test. But I would definatly still advise people to stick to the extras if they are very new though.

My plan for the first few occasions is going to be to volunteer personally to the devs of certain things - that way they get a tester, and I get someone I can run to if it all goes toes up. The 'Community' aspect of it all.
