Well, that's the other catch for me. I can switch to T-mobile, I'm off contract at the moment. And T-mobile 3G is here (here being where I live and work) in all it's high speed glory (high speed being 5 Mb/s, no I'm not joking). But T-mobile does not have any where near the coverage as AT&T. And I'm not mentioning that in the "look at the map", theoretical exercise kind of way, I'm saying that if I go to visit my girlfriend, I would lose 3G. AT&T on the other hand, I can stream from Last.fm to my e51 pretty much everywhere I go on a regular basis.

I'm glad you two got back to DC safe and sound. You guys were gone by the time we got back from the ATM. I'm hoping your N900 experience is better than your Droid experience.

No sign of warping on my N900 keyboard yet.
Nice to see you again. We ended up staying another day, which made the drive back to DC much more pleasant.

The Droid is a distant memory and I plan to keep it that way. :-)

I got the CP-357 when I got the device...took advantage of the 20% accessory discount. :-)

It looks very similar to yours.

Diavoli, can you try the Fido/Rogers SIM card with data plan on and let us know what speed is n900 connecting to the internet? 3G or Edge?

Wow, that's twice as fast as what I thought I was getting.

well, don't get all excited and start sticking flowers in your hair, qole (you had to be in Amsterdam).

that is with the charger plugged in, and under no additional load. The latency kills VoIP, not sure if HSPA offers decent latency. Also, I've seen some very low numbers as well. Not sure how reliable these speed tests are. But the N900 is barely usable on Rogers/Fido unless you are in clear sight of a cell tower.
