I'm having frequent reboots too since the first run, but I configured Exchange for first.
Deleted Exchange profile was far more stable but rebooted once while trying to scroll in settings.
Deleting everything was not working for timeout like Exchange gmail mail service (while calendar and contacts work) and any sip service (can't make it register) the device is stable but not enought to survive more than 2 hours.

Anyway haven't tried heavy usage yet, just configuration.

My details:
Living Italy with 3G Wind SIM (should be 64k)
Firmware 1.2009.42-11

I also experienced reboots. Two reboots happen exactly when I pressed "I agree" in app manager during install from maemo-extras devel and testing. The other reboot happen during install of large package (openarena - >200MB) over wifi. After reboot the all install went fine when I tried it again.

All of the tree reboots happen during first 12 hours after first turning on. Since then (about 30 hours) no reboot at all.

I ordered mine through Polish nokia shop (sklep.nokia.pl). I'm not using localization settings.

I have not enough info to file a bug myself but maybe we (as a whole) should file a collective bug about rebooting? What do you think?

Did you setup exchange or nokia messaging?

don't reflash! doesn't help.

i have FI saunalahti(=elisa) and im trying to get the 6mb log I managed to collect to my computer. 1080p @24" is more tempting than n900's own screen for some reason when looking at 6mb plain text file

just started reading through. excel says 80000+ rows

only two processes above 10% processor usage:
Code:
/usr/bin/mafw-dbus-wrapper mafw-gst-re
/usr/bin/pulseaudio --system --high-pr
I got a feeling that the tracking failed. I'll set it up again with some kind of interval etc and see if i can get something useful out.

e: emmc is reflashed too when using win flasher and if you dont reflash emmc @linux, you can get really weird stuff happen in your tablet (trust me, been there done that)

Good to hear. I was about to reflash!!
Could it be a eMMC related problem?

I do not have an n900, but 800-810' rebooting randomly was usually helped by enabling swap space

It might be easier in order to troubleshoot the issue using ssh sessions.

I would advise to open one for each of the following commands to start with:

vmstat 1
top -b
tail -f /var/log/messages
tail -f /var/log/kernel
(not sure about the exact localisation of these two last log files as I don't own yet a n900... yet... but if you provide a 'find /var/log' we should be able to figure that out)

Another alternative to SSH will be to use the usb interface as tty interface but I don't know if this is supported out of the box.
The main reason for the ssh/serial interface is that the reboot may not sync the files to the disk and therefore never troubleshoot the root of the issue but will be visible on the session opened.

heres my top -b -d 10 results (end of the list cropped by cpu usage)

Code:
Mem: 237588K used, 7960K free, 0K shrd, 740K buff, 81772K cached
CPU: 20.5% usr 7.3% sys 0.0% nice 72.1% idle 0.0% io 0.0% irq 0.0% softirq
Load average: 0.91 1.36 1.13
PID PPID USER STAT RSS %MEM %CPU COMMAND
 1241 656 user S < 7316 2.9 13.3 /usr/bin/mafw-dbus-wrapper mafw-gst-re
  728 1 pulse S < 3556 1.4 10.6 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --system --high-pr
  774 656 root S < 27028 10.9 0.9 /usr/bin/Xorg -logfile /tmp/Xorg.0.log
  981 922 user S 7720 3.1 0.7 /usr/bin/hildon-status-menu
 1744 1743 root R 680 0.2 0.6 top -b -d 10
  994 922 user S 8204 3.3 0.5 /usr/bin/hildon-desktop
 1748 1114 user S 30244
so it seems that top -b can't do the trick... or initial asumptions are wrong or something else....
