Im a BIG Nokia N900 fan, but I am also a fan of music. My previous device was the Nokia 5800 (how ironic, right?) I miss the equalizer and the nice speakers that the 5800 has but I really love the N900 functions. Now the phone cant even read my memory card! i already formatted and put back the music and it still wont read it. I went to the settings and checked memory and it only showed the N900 memory. What should I do?

I haven't a problem with mine. I have about 3GB of music and two full length movies on my sd card and both play without a problem. I just bought a new 8GB class 6 card and put it in my n900 and transferred as a mass storage device. It was formatted to the standard fat32. Maybe a faulty card. Sorry not much help though.

Just to be clear: the N900 will not mount any card before you install the back cover again. It will also unmount any present card once you take off the back cover.

Explain please. I see no irony in that. There's a direct relation but its not ironic.

My N900 didn't see the card until I rebooted. But after that it works pretty well.
