Okay, I'm having a problem after i download the IM app, how do i run it? it ask what file do i want to use to run the app, which one should i choose? Thanks.

Hi,
I have a question and I don't know if this is the right place for it or not.
I noticed that some apps in the repositories have "Non-free licence"
- such as many game emulators - but when I click "Install", it is downloaded normally without any request for buying any money.
So I'm confused, Can I use these apps for free or it is paid apps?

That license means that the source code is not free, ie you can't have the source code and see how the author did the app.

Freeware means that you don't have to pay. Nothing more.
Open source means that you have control over application. You can understand how it works, that it doesn't do something you don't want to and you can modify it if you need. Some time ago it was synonym for "Free software", but now there are companies, claiming "This is open source, but you have to pay for it and you shouldn't redistribute it" or "This is open source and this is freeware but if you use it you are my patent slave and you would have to buy (I don't insist, you may not to by, but you really don't have choice) my another app".
And there is such thing as "Free software". Read about Stallman to understand what this means.

In my work I use a lot of images. I would like to have the option of zooming into my images on the N900. Alternatively, are any alternative image viewers being ported like Quiver for the N800?
