Short version: For folks in the US, Waterfield Designs (http://www.sfbags.com/) can make a "suede jacket" slip case / pouch for the N900. An example can be found at: http://www.sfbags.com/products/droid...ede-jacket.htm
Long version: I'm a big guy and want to carry my N900 in my front pocket just like I do for my N810. A simple sleeve or pouch would work best for me to prevent scratches to the screen, but not add extra bulk to the already chubby N900.
I'm a huge fan of Waterfield Design, a San Francisco company who makes all of their products in house. A photo I took that shows their quality workmanship can be found at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/speednutdave/3073066779/ (select "all sizes" to view high-res photo)
I've given them the Nokia spec page with the N900 dimensions (http://www.nokiausa.com/find-product...specifications) and they informed me that they can have the case ready for production in a week or so. If you want to order one now, just pick the droid version, then in the special instructions section, state that "custom size is needed for Nokia N900 -
4.37" height x 2.35" width x .77" depth".
The "suede jacket" is $9 + CA resident state taxes + $7 ground shipping(however, shipping from SF to San Jose is same day or next day, so at least it's fast for me
)
I'll update this thread again once I've received the pouch/"suede jacket".

Waterfield Designs makes some great stuff. Just ordered their suede jacket for the N900 too. They said it will take about a week to make. Looking forward to getting it

I just bought a clear screen protector from foreverfitters.com (http://www.foreverfitters.com/servle...-Screen/Detail). The protector seems to avoid any of the sensors. I'll let you guys know more when I get it. Anyone else purchase from them?

Got the Vikuiti DQC-160 screen protector for N900. It looks very solid and is of the type you can remove and replace anytime without problems or residue. One slight problem, it is a bit too large - I used a straight-line paper cutter to cut a millimeter or so from two sides and now it works great. Absolutely lets the screen shine and so far no problems with touch working with either finger or stylus. I'm getting some more for future replacement needs. But beware, a bit cutting may be required if all are a tad big for production units.
