this is one of the few apps I downloaded once I got my N900.

I have some FLV files copied over, can this app play those flv files?
An option to open a local flv might be a good one (I could not find a flv player for N900 hence posting here).

Thanks Aweb, A newbie question: how do I add the extras-testing as a repository? (I have "extras" but that does not list this)

There's a button to say thanks

To add extras-testing, just go in your app manager, in the menu select repositories>new and enter the following informations :
- name : Extras-testing
- url : http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing/
- distribution : fremantle
- components : free non-free

Than check you app list : it's full of new apps.

However, those apps can be unstable : check their karma before installing them (you can see it here : http://maemo.org/packages/repository...xtras-testing/)

Good luck !

Great software, stable and snappy

Quick UI suggestions:

1) Have the search field visible in the first screen, instead of hidden in the menubar. People are more likely to use search than any of the predefined categories.

2) Support for signing in to youtube, so one can see own favourites, channels, etc, easily

3) make the progress bar go away in fullscreen mode.

Kudos for the app, zaheerm...

Just a few questions/request, if you don't mind:

- It is normal for the video to loop when it has finished playing? Any way to disable it?
- Is there a way to instantly access any part of the video [with due buffering, of course]? Even just the already played part?
- Is there any way to have more than 25 search results? With, like, a "more" button?
- Would'nt it be better to have a line of description and a second line with duration and username?
- What about a "carousel" visualization [even "just side-by-side"] with the search results, in landscape mode? That way there would be a larger thumbnail and enough space for description+duration+etc...

I didn't mentioned the "toggle scroll-bar" request, 'cause i see you're already working on it...

Again, big fan of the app, a good youtube client is a must have for me...

I frankly think your ideas 1) or 3) are totally necessary for this software.

The second one would still be useful but is less important.

I'd have to admit that I like the "just type and searchbox appear" solution... it fits the desktop-contact-search idea of the OS...

But a directly visible searchbox is better then the menubar solution...

Full screen video, HQ download support, and multisite support make it a beast.
