TabulaRasa,
Thanks for the help. I was able to get it working but I had a few problems. Apparently, I had paired the phone to the N800 prior to installing PDANet and that really screwed things up. Also, I was using the trial version of PDANet which does not seem to support bluetooth connections. After deleting all of the pairing and connection settings, re-pairing the devices, setting up a new connection, and registering PDANet I was able to get on-line for about 5 minutes before the connection was lost. The second time I tried I was able to stay on for about 10 minutes. I'll keep playing with it to see if I can figure out a pattern.
Any idea why the 6700 has to be rebooted after each of the connection attempt?
Thanks, Brad

I would install it but with the way PDANet works on the PPC-6700 I am not sure I'd know if USB modem was actually working. Maybe I'll flash my PPC 6700 and test it and then just restore from a backup.

The strange part is that my laptop will dial out on the 6700 through BT provided I start WModem on the PDA. USB connections have always worked, although I now get nasty messages on the PDA telling me not to tether. The odd part is that I do not get them through BT.
This really needs to work and I suspect the problem is on the Nokia side given that my laptop uses DUN on the 6700 just fine.
Like I said earlier I am committed to the N800 and think it is a perfect platform to fill the void between phone and laptop - it just needs to work with my 6700!
