I have only installed from Maemo Select/Extras repository (no devel or testing at all).

PS. I'm doing the same as I did when I got my Bold and N82, no SIM card for a few days, just wi-fi to test it out and play around.

PPS. It's only started since I switched on bluetooth, to transfer files between my N82 and the N900.

had rebooting experience also with mine as i posted before here..went back to nokia to get replacement and they immediately replaced it,now my device is working fine never had reboots again since it was replaced..if you bought your device on nokia shop get it replaced immediately.

I think it's wifi related, linked to certain networks.

I haven't had a reboot for a couple of days, since I bought the phone. Then I went to Belarus for two days two days ago. Everywhere they had the Belnet wifi, every time I'd connect to it, the phone would reboot in a minute or so.

Was driving me nuts, I even reflashed, cause I thought as I was messing with it, could've been somehow related. In factory settings, connected, within a minute reboot.

I disabled wifi, and no probs. Then went to the airport, and before leaving wanted to connect to the wifi, again Belnet, and damn reboot...

Since leaving Belarus, not a problem...

This has led me to the conclusion that it's somehow network associated, don't know what could be causing it and can't test it now that I'm back.

This wouldn't explain why some people claim that getting a replacement device fixes the reboots... unless of course there are multiple reasons for reboots (bad hardware, wifi issues etc etc)

So one more idea I have, it's as mentioned above, CPU related. I think I've had one reboot not in Belarus, when there was a ton of apps running.

The Belarus stuff was clearly wifi, but maybe there is specific network stuff, where it connects to some and generates heavy CPU load, which would be consistent with the above.

Having the same problem. Constantly reboots by different tasks. Started using it today. Do you recommend me to ask Nokia for a replacement?

Thanks

Try disabling all internet connections, go into settings, internet connections, choose never.

See, if it reboots now. If it's the same as was with me, it should be rock solid.

after setting internet connections to never it has got better. tested a heavy load and after half and hour or more it reboot. but this are not normal use conditions. I will check tomorrow normal use and decide what to do.
thanks for your help

It should be rock stable, unless you put an extra heavy load on the CPU, as I have also and it reboot.

Maybe it's running out of tmp or something, I've set TMPDIR to point to a tmp dir on the huge partition, but cannot set it for root as /root/.profile doesn't seem to help, so maybe it's this.

Anyone can set TMPDIR for root automatically on boot?

Using constant WiFi is fine for me, it seems to be bluetooth (concurrent operation with WiFi?) that has caused the problems. No reboots all day, and I was demo'ing the phone to people at work.
