Just got through to MPD by phone on my first attempt ever. However, no news really. Just the standard it'll take 5 working days from the time the 'ready to despatch' status shows up. Since mine was on Thursday it could even arrive on Wed. Well I'll stick around til 1pm and then I can forget about it until I see the 'sorry we missed you' note.

I don't really mind waiting until Friday or even next week for the phone just so long as I know that they actually have all of the stock that they require to fulfil all of the pre-oreders as promised.

I ordered on the 24th November and am still showing 'Pending Stock' - do they actually have the stock or not!

For issues with faulty products - I believ that it is a legal requirement from wherever your purchased the product. It doesn't matter who manufactures the product - it is up to the retailer to get it sorted. I am almost 100% that that is correct.

So has no one received theirs today yet? I've got someone at my house that's gonna give it until 1:15pm and ring me if it hasn't arrived! Then I ring MPD and find out exactly where MY N900 is!

As with many people ordered back in Sept, and people with Oct orders received theirs on Friday! Out of order (in both meanings ofthe phrase!!).

They did state they where receiving them in batches - we do not know how many came or will be coming in each batches.

but as said many times before - do not take the statuses seriously - I have my N900 and mine still says ready for despatch.

I think they are concentrating on packinging them up and sending them out.

wouldnt surprise me if they just sent out what ever stock they had and change people's status's becuase it would get customers of there backs for a few days untill they could think of something else to come up with

Please read the document on this page - businesses guide

Basic users guide

It will all be under the distance selling regulations.

Yes, you're right (my OH is a lawyer)- but still you need to check the smallprint for loopholes.
