Downloaded the newest version and it works fine for me. Just converted a 700 mb divx file and a smaller avi-file with no problems.

edit: winxp home

I made a small attempt at fixing the issue. However, I have not tested the osx version, so you can try it, but no guarantees. Also, as I only had some 5 mins to look into the issue, make an attempt to fix it, test it, make installer for windows, pack it for osx and test the windows installer, I have absolutely no idea if it has solved the problem on osx or not. So, my apologies if it doesn't work. I've uploaded the new versions for windows and osx onto the server, so download as usual, if you have the guts for it.

Any chance you'd let me have the source code for this? This app could be useful for more than just the 770. Also, there needs to be a way to stop mencoder when exiting the program.

Sure. It's such a simple app. I'll include the source for the next release or at least in a soon enough release. Is that Ok with you?

One thing I just don't get is why no-one has made a similiar GPL app before. I mean, it's so simple thing to make a front-end for mencoder, but at the same time there are tons of companies making converters for all sorts of devices.

Do you think it might make sense to make a sourceforge project for this?

Is it possible to add .mov support?

I've updated the converter to 0.40 version.
This version aims at usage improvements and fixes some bugs in process control.
Mencoder has been updated to 1.0rc7 version.

Have a go, it's a really nice update!

Reggie, it should support some .mov files, but not all. It seems that mencoder is not capable of converting the most recent mov. I tried with the new king kong trailer, and that's not working.

Heh. Just noticed a small annoyance bug. Status line puts the 2nd pass on the wrong row. I'm at work at the moment, so can't fix it until evening. But as said, that's just an annoyance and doesn't affect the functionality in any way.

Thanks for the reply. As for making it a project on Sourceforge, yes, I do think that would be a good idea. Like I mentioned, it has many more uses than the 770.

I have a video (MPEG1, LAYER 2) that if I drag it to the 770 it will not play (says wrong format). But if I use your Media converter and convert it, it plays OK. I thought the 770 supported MPEG1 and if so, why wouldn't it play?

Could be that it's too high bitrate, too high resolution or something else entirely. If it's over 352 resolution, that might be the reason.
