With OS 2007 edition v. 3.2007.10-7 I am now able to stream Videos from the Internet or my PC to my Nokia N800 using TVersity 0.9.9.2. without buffering issues.

I am using DL.TV to test the video streaming and specifically using the wmv video feed which TVersity is serving from my XP Laptop to my Nokia N800 wirelessly.

STREAMING Video plays in Canola and Media Streamer applications reasonably well transcoded to mpeg thumb view or full screen (All done automatically by TVersity) although there is room for some improvement in the quality of the transcoded file.

---edit--- N800 rebooted after testing a stream for approx 15 minutes in both Canola and then Media Streamer, but hey it's a start. I also noted that streaming in mpeg seemed to cane my battery as after re-boot 1 brown bar of battery life left. (Almost 3 green bars at start of test)

Interesting. Does anybody know if Tivo.net could be adapted for the same thing? Streaming to the N800 instead of Tivo.

I've been able to stream videos to my n800 using TVersity for a while now with no reboots. I haven't upgraded the OS though. I also don't use canola, as it seems like things stop working after I install it, and things get better when I completely remove it. Not sure why... I actually like the interface with canola, but I find the stability of the media streamer software to be much better.
