Read the wave. A nice intro for Python programming, pretty complete. You put a bunch of effort into that. I'm looking forward to your discussions on qt and gtk and n900 specifics.

I also started looking at the gpodder, maybe that has some interesting starting points.

Just found this thread, and while I haven't read all the posts, it seems like a very interesting project and I'd like to try it out. I'm fairly confident in Java, but I've just decided to cross over to Python and the N900, so I'd love to check out the book. I've got Wave: karl.martensson@googlewave.com, and if anyone needs invites, then I've got like 18 of those laying around as well, which I'm more than willing to share.

Guys, sorry for the delay. I am in transit right now (without an N900 yet :P). I will add everyone interested in a about 1 hour.

I see that the wave is really getting out of hand now. Most people so far just want to read it. I have had no contributions to the missing sections so far. So, I think I am going to post what is there right now on themaemo.com. I guess the wave can remain active, in case any one wants to contribute to it. I'll post the link to the web page here shortly.

Thanks for your patience. Here is a link to the tutorial:

http://www.themaemo.com/python-for-newbies/

I divided it in two parts due to its length. Second part is coming soon.

First go to the link I just posted and read the content. If you find that you have something to contribute, let me know and I will add you to the wave.
