Does N900 Charge like a laptop??
(So, when the battery's fully charged, it will draw power only from the power cable and the battery will not be affected?)
Is it alright to have it hooked to the power cable/laptop often?

Does charging N900 overnight shorten the battery life span?
Does charging N900 overnight while it's on shorten the battery life span?

Thanx in Advance! =)

THanks for the Reply. =)
How's a new battery fine to leave it plugged compared to an older model?

Patience grasshopper. It's a forum. Some read it once per week some multiple times per day.

From what I know it's made to run through the battery always. But it disables charging once it's charged up. From what I can tell it disables changing until you replug the cable. I've kept it connected overnight but it seems the green led is always on. And in the morning when I repluged it it started charging.

Check this brainstorm session:

The current n900 is designed to use power from the battery as primary powersource.

I guess http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...7&postcount=15 is maybe the best informed post on battery charging I've seen. It is a guess though, because I'm no expert myself.

If you try searching on "battery" or "charging" you should be able to find quite a few threads where people discuss related matters.
