Well I finally have OpenVPN working after a whirlwind learning experience, but what now?

I have a point to point connection between my PC (IP 10.8.0.1) and the Noika N800 (IP 10.8.0.2) and can ping the N800 from the PC (and presumably could ping the other way too if I had ping on the N800.)

My intention in getting OpenVPN to work was

a) to use OpenVPN with VNC so that the VNC session to my PC would be secure

b) if possible, to use the OpenVPN connection to connect to my PC and then on to the rest of the Internet. I can do this with my laptop using OpenVPN when I am travelling, but the config files on my laptop and PC are very different to the ones used when connecting the N800 to the PC (a simple point to point link)

So my questions are:

How do I make the VNC traffic from my N800 go to my PC over the VPN

and

Is it possible to route all Internet traffic from the N800 over the VPN using the simple Point to Point link

Thanks for any pointers or help....

Works for me, I use RDesktop to get to my pc at work through the VPN connection. I believe it does already route all requests through the vpn connection. The Windows Cisco Client is flexible in an easier fassion in that the subnets can more easily be configured to pass traffic for your work subnets only and the rest go out through your non-vpn internet connection.
On the N800 I believe this is done by editing Routing tables. Perhaps a script could be set up to do this.

I tried installing the openvpn_2.0-1maemo2_arm.deb package from www.rahkonen.org but I got an 'application package is incompatible with current software' message from the application manager.

I'm using an N800 as well running 2.2006.51-6 (IT OS2007).

Could you post how you got it running here?

Thanks

Is this for the vpnc package? Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but I assumed that vpnc only worked with Cisco VPN solutions.

Will it connect to an OpenVPN server?

Thanks

My question might be a little out of topic but as you say y're using RDesktop.

So how do you manage to use the virtual keyboard or do you use an external BT keyboard ?
I've tried to connect to PCs and that does work fine but I can't manage to get the virtual keyboard to show up

Thanks for any answer.
