Does anyone have a US sipgate account?.

I've been having trouble setting up my US sipgate account on my N900.

I connect to wifi on my N900.

I go to "settings", I then go to "voip and im accounts", I select "new", for service I select "sip", and from there I use the information given to me in "sip credentials" of my sipgate account.

Under username, I enter my "SIP-ID" exactly the way it's shown in my account.

For password, I enter my "SIP-Password" exactly the way it's shown in my account.

In advanced settings, I once again enter my "SIP-ID" under username.

I enter "sipgate.com" as my outbound proxy.

I then press "sign in" and after about 30 seconds of trying to sign in the device displays my account as "not signed in".

I'm not sure if this is an issue on sipgate's end or if it's an issue with the N900.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have SIP gate account. But you probably left something out of your credentials. Proxy Server is not the service host name you connect with. The service host name actually goes in as part of your 'User name' field. Your put it in as

<username>@service.hostname.com

For example, the credentials I use for my Gizmo account is this

1747....@proxy01.sipphone.com

From your posting, your 'User name' should probably be

your-user-name@sipgate.com

And leave the Outbound proxy field blank.
