I was also affected by the missing up/down arrows (german layout here). With the version in the testing repo I can now play the game after customizing the keys.

Thanks a lot! I'll give you a thumbs up as soon as the garage comes back online so I can create an account.

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this ... if it's not coupld somebody please point me in the direction of the right place!

... anyway, I've noticed that when I'm listening to music through the media player and then close supertux I have issues getting it to shut down properly (and usually have to switch the phone off to get things working properly again) ... instead of closing normally it ends with a blank screen with a cursor arrow that I can't escape from ... just me? ... or an issue others are having as well?

There is some kind of problem with media player and SDL. I don't know what it is, but i've seen reports of similar issues with both UQM and PrBoom, and with other games that also use SDL.

I'm guessing the "bug" is in either SDL audio library or the media player or lower-level components (pulseaudio maybe?), because that's a lot more plausible than that all these games have similar independent bugs.

Just an observation...not particularly useful.

... thanks! ... certainly sounds like it's more likely a media player problem than a SuperTux problem if it's happening in a number of different games ...

It's a problem in PulseAudio, it affects a lot of applications

Although the new release (2.2009.51) brought a nice performance boost (from 30fps to 60fps), the PulseAudio problem is still present. The only way to get around it is still to either reboot the phone or open the camera lens (which starts the camera app and stops Pulse).

You need to run (x by default, can be changed in the game settings)
