got my n900 last week, set up email about 7 days ago (using nokia messaging to connect to my gmail--same as i had it w/ the E71 and N82)
today, i compose an email, and hit "send". N900 acts weird i think, maybe email crashes. i go back to e-mail, and now all account info is wiped out (i get the setup prompts again)
i set up email again, and while it's setup correctly, i get the notifications for new incoming mail, but i don't get a link to my inbox (the notifications are in the upper left corner, but clicking on it will take me to the Messaging screen, with an outbox, sent, but no inbox)
any help?

I have exactly the same problem. Phone starts to load email, then after approx. 20 seconds, after "rotating" sign shows it takes me back to main desktop. I am not sure how to go about fixing it.
Can I actually reinstall Nokia's "Email" application?
