Aw, come on Mil-- I thought you were seeing as many ignored posts as I am right now.
As for the NDA issue, I got a chuckle earlier seeing it mentioned after some beans were spilled. Gee, which takes precedence: a company's desire to keep certain details quiet, or an individual's overinflated ego?
*pops more popcorn in anticipation of continued drama*

I actually think it helps that Milhouse is willing to grill him.
At first sapporrobaby says Skype will be joining the application lineup "in the very near future." so I am thinking - yay, Skype in a month or so. Probably others did too.
And then in post #21 he admits Skype "should be here by summer" *yawn*

Referring to the title... I'm not sure if Skype is good news. It's just another piece of software that can't be fixed by the community, just like Flash and Opera today. What we'll get is a piece of software that cannot be improved/fixed/backported to OS2006, neither by Nokia nor by the community.
A Skype client doesn't make the N800 a better net citizen. The focus should have been on better SIP-support from the early 770-days on, instead.

Completely agree. Please please please give us an open / simple / standard SIP client and let us choose our SIP provider!
It is already a big mess in the instant messaging world (I hate to have to install 5 GAIM protocols to be able to reach my buddies) and it is starting to be exactly the same in the SIP world.
