Hello, is possible to disable WM composition for high intesinve graphical full-screen applications? I noticed that if i disable the composition (i shut down manually the hildon desktop), instensive graphical apps like 3d games gains high performance and speed boost. Then, there is any way to disable the composition wm like, for example in windows vista (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...8VS.85%29.aspx)

Thank you!

Is your problem similar to the one described in this post?
Miika says they just used _HILDON_NON_COMPOSITED_WINDOW for Bounce.

Is there also a way to disable it as a shell command?
If yes it should be possible to write a simple daemon script which runs in the background and checks for specific applications running and disables composition if detected...

I don't know.
But, in what way would that be better than letting the applications decide themselves if composition should be on or off?

You don't have to hope that a developer adds this feature to her/his program because you could do it yourself
