hi. guys... i want to convert a video using vlc... but i dont know what is the best settings to put so it will look the best on n900...

i want to know the best codec to use.. bitrate and frame rate... and also the resolution to use...

I do not think you can convert with VLC as it is a video player. Anyway best results would be using native resolution of N900 800x480 but then again if your source of video is DVD, it has lower resolution than N900.
For bitrate use 1.5Mbit/s for good results for xvid.

I have not converted anything, almost all files from internet play as they are.

u can convert using vlc... im using it for my n97... but if i used the n97 settings.. it plays small on my n900 and quality is low... so i want to know what is the best settings for n900....

Maybe you could try files as they are without conversion

How about FormatFactory settings then? The idea would be to convert some DVDs.
